Today's Sisian region is mainly occupied by the historic Syunik Province of Tsguk province. In the written sources, the Tghuk province is mentioned for the first time. a. The ancient monuments of Sisian date back to the medieval period. The most famous and valuable monuments of the pre-Christian era are the pictograms of Ukhtasar (5-2 th centuries BC) of the Zorats Stones megalithic monument (3-1 BC), the settlement of Ogis megalithia (3 BC) -1 counts).
