Community Services ` There are eight-year and secondary schools, 8-year-old forest and eight-year music school, culture palace, 5 libraries (including regional children's), communication division, automatic telephone exchange, household house, cinema, 5 kindergartens and outpatient clinic. It is being built in the inter-regional hospital (250 beds). The village is gasified. There is a food processing plant, bakery, poultry-incubator station. Alaverdi sewing production unit, regional department of agriculture management committee, regional firefighting station.

According to tradition, in the first century CE, Thomas the Apostle came to Odzun, anointed priests and bishops in the church territory. The name Odzun is also said to have originated from the word "anoint". The names of Azuni, Odzun, Azu are also found in various literary works. Until 1967? The village was called Uzunlar, which was derived from Turkish,. The village was well-known in the Middle Ages thanks to the Armenian Catholicos Hovhan Odznetsi Imastaser (717-728).
Odzun's territory is rich in historic-architectural monuments, churches, monasteries, chapels, monuments, monuments, cross-stones, cellars, ancient settlements, and folk architecture samples. The cave has many records.
