The first Armenian residents in the village were settled in the spring of 1918, refugees escaped from Western Armenia (from Khnus, Baghsh). Most refugees came from the province of Bagrivand (Alashkert) and from here the last name of the community. Before the arrival of the refugees, this territory was inhabited by Persians resettled from Persia by Atrpatakan. The aim was to establish the Muslim dominance in this area. Qariemark means "Qaryam's Dynasty". An irrigation canal flowed through the village. It was called Karyarharkh until 1929 at the very first stage of collectivization.
